Understanding cultural differences and extreme attitudes in the 2021 OECD Trust Survey

The 2021 OECD Survey on Drivers of Trust in Public Institutions provides a cross-country assessment what influences people’s trust government and public institutions, understanding perception the functioning democratic institutions. Most drivers refer to competences values that help countries take concrete steps rebuild trust. Both at individual country-level may vary due cultural, economic social factors. This paper analyses open-ended survey responses 16 understand two questions. First can answers provide insights into cultural differences extreme attitudes distrust?
